41 Yanks win in extra innings..

Good potential World Series matchup with 1941 Yankees vs 1933 Giants at the Polo Grounds. Joe Dimaggio vs Mel Ott. First inning injury to Phil Rizzuto brought in veteran Frankie Crosetti. Tommy Henrich had 2 base hits as the 1941 New York Yankees beat the 1933 New York Giants in 12 innings 4 to 2. 1941 New York came out the victor in the 12th inning. Henrich led off and he delivered a base-hit. Joe Dimaggio next to the plate and he ripped a single. Charlie Keller then grounded into a double play. Joe Gordon followed and he doubled. Bill Dickey stepped into the box and laced a base-knock. Dickey took second on the throw. Despite losing, Giants had 14 hits white Yankees had 12 hits for the afternoon.  The winning pitcher was Tiny Bonham (1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Watty Clark (0-1) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 4 hits and no walks. On a note..the 33 Giants played in my first ever Stratomatic League World Series but lost. Will be interesting to see if they can turn around this rough start since the 1950 Phils are 3-0 at this point.
