74 O's choke, D-Backs remain unbeaten

So a possible Baltimore win was denied as the 2011 Diamondbacks came back to win in Phoenix. It looked that the Orioles were gonna blow out the D-backs, but in the 8 and 9th innings, relief pitching failed Baltimore. Lyle Overbay had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Chase Field as the 2011 Arizona club pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the 1974 Baltimore Orioles by the count of 9 to 8. Arizona won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning as they scored 4 runs on 6 base hits. Orioles were not lacking for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames. David Hernandez (1-0) went 2/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory. Bob Reynolds (0-1) was given the loss in relief. He surrendered 4 runs and 5 hits in 1/3 of an inning. Arizona remains unbeaten while Baltimore remains in the cellar.
