"Whiz Kids" beat the "Bash Bro's"..badly.

Some games are just ridiculous. The 1950 Phillies traveled to Oakland to take on the 1988 A's. You'd think a team with the "Bash Bros" would put up a good contest against the team from 38 years prior. No. The Phillies utterly destroyed the A's 15-0 on a 2 hitter pitched by Jim Konstanty. This is a guy who's pitch count is about 67. He went 80. Allowed 1 hit to the pitcher! Canseco and McGwire were non factors in this game.
Andy Seminick hit one over the fence and had 5 RBI and he and Dick Sisler hit homers. Seminick tripled plating two runs in the 1st inning and belted a three-run homer in the 6th inning. 1950 Phillies lit up the scoreboard in the 1st inning which saw them score 4 runs on 4 hits and the 2nd inning with 4 runs on 3 hits. Konstanty (1-0) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the win. Storm Davis (0-1) was hit with the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 4 walks. 
1950 Phils won the NL East back in League 3 and it looks like they are on their way to another division title with this type of play.
