Black Sox dominate

The White Sox went to Busch Stadium for a night game against the 1967 Cardinals. Red Faber was on top of his game, blanking St. Louis on just 3 hits and Eddie Collins had 3 base hits as the 1919 White Sox beat the Cardinals 2-0. Faber (1-0) was simply too much for the Cardinals. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. 1919 Chicago finished with 11 hits in the victory.  Ray Washburn (0-1) was hit with the loss. He gave up 2 runs and 9 hits in 7 innings. A 4th inning injury to Orlando Cepeda hurt St Louis' hitting game. 67 Cardinals were in League 3 WS....but they fall to 1-2. Sox move up to 2-1.
